CALM Charity Event

We are so proud to invite you to an intimate, unplugged living room concert, hosted and supported by our friends Astor Hostels in aid of CALM. The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day.
Supporting all groups of society at risk of potential suicide, CALM has a free and confidential chat and web line open 7 days a week.

Performing on the night - three unique and wonderful artists:

Harry Pane
Growing up in a crooked old farmhouse in Northamptonshire with his Dad, Harry gained many influences. John Martyn, Bob Dylan, Damien Rice, Richard Thompson, Jose Gonzalez and Bon Iver to name but a few! it was due to having hundreds of gigs under his belt (as well as a few tough life lessons) where his song-writing and finger picking guitar style was honed.
Harry has recanted completed a European and UK tour in support of Marillion.

"His delicate honesty and turn of phrase make him stand well clear of the pack” - Frank Turner

Daisy Chute
Edinburgh-born, half-American, hyphen-loving Daisy Chute is a folk songstress and multi-instrumentalist with a particular penchant for the banjo. Formerly of Decca’s platinum-selling classical group All Angels, she is excited to be working on her début album of original songs with producer and songwriter Tim Baxter (Andy Burrows, Editors, Nick Mulvey, Jasmine Thompson). A regular in the London music scene and an award-winning singer and songwriter having just been awarded first place in the Coffee Music Project singer-songwriter competition, Daisy has been taught and mentored by rock royalty Sir Ray Davies, featured as a vocalist on Radiohead's latest album A Moon Shaped Pool, and even got the thumbs up from Sir Paul McCartney after a performance at the Royal Albert Hall. One of Paul Sexton's 'top music tips' for 2018, Daisy's music has been compared to Simon and Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell (BBC Radio Kent) and her voice has been described as

“Exquisitely delicious. Delicate, like a gossamer-winged creature made out of spun gold." Tony Moore (Soho Radio, The Bedford)

Ed Tattersall
In late November 2016 Ed begun his ascent into the mystical world of the modern day music industry. With a Paulo Nutini/Rod Stewart rasp, intertwined with a whole lotta of energy, Ed caught the attention of hit record producer and songwriter Jamie Petrie. Ed has since recorded his own unique rendition of D'Ream's "Things Can Only Get Better" and recent single "Delicate Mind" was released through CALM in 2019.

As always Astor will be actively supporirtng through their charity breakfast donation collection during the week of the concert.

Love to hear such voices of charity. It's very essential for those who can't afford these elite things. I have been thinking to do some charity for a while and glad to see that you guys arranging the whole event in the name of it. I would like to donate some of my winter's outwears like navy pea coat original that is exactly the same and in fresh condition. I bearly wear them once or twice.
